Uggg, I think I hit another plateau. I had surgery on 5/22/06 and I am down 30 pounds and 2 pants sizes, which is really good, but I haven't lost in over a week! I assume this is normal. I haven't gotten sick in 2 weeks too, so I'm real happy about that. I just wi**** would happen faster. Anyway, had to vent.

Howdy Danielle! What percentage of your excess weight did you have to lose and how much does 30lbs make? I needed to lose 112 pounds of excess so i'm down 24lbs which is over 20% of my excess baggage in (6) weeks, I'm pretty psyched!!! If you just look at the pounds it's not going to impress you, go by the percents and it's going to be better. Be Well and Be Healthy, ANDI

Hi Danielle- Hang in there! I had my surgery 5-4-06 and I have lost 50 pounds as of yesterday woo hoo. I was on a plateu for about 3 weeks and then bam it just started falling off again. You will probably do the same thing just make sure you follow docs orders closely. You will hit plateaus now and then but just stick with it and you will break through it. Congrats on the 2 pants sizes. I went this weekend and bought some new things. i'm down 1 pant size and 3 shirt sizes. You can do this just hang in there. I wish all the luck in the world!! Diana

Just like the movie "Click", I wish I had a fast forward button to when I am thin....but then I would miss out on all the good stuff. Darlene

I can't help but to laugh honey... Guess who else hasn't lost a single lb in a week?! That's right, me!!! Infact, this morning I had GAINED a lb. I'm so frustrated. Ugh!! I'm doing everything by the book (well - I'm drinking wine again - that isn't in the book) and I'm working out ridiculous amounts. I even hired a personal trainer!! Ugh...

I did not get a scales, but I did go buy a tape measure: keeping track of the anthropometric measurements: 9 inch body loss in two weeks, so I am losing. big change in my waist (3.5 inches in less than two weeks) 41.75 inches lost since start of program. 25.75 inches since surgery hmm this is easier to do than getting on the scales I am measuring neck, bicep, forearm, wrist, chest, waist, hips, thigh, knee, calf, ankle. my worry is how much is muscle loss. prior to leaving on vacation, I did get that measured and from the start of the program, my lean muscle mass loss was 13 lbs out of 46 lbs total loss.

hugs... stall... plateau... I feel your pain. I have lost 31 lbs since surgery May 31 so I do have 'stalls' but overall... doing the normal 4 lbs a week that is expected. while 4 lbs is 'the average', some weeks it is 8 lbs and some weeks it is -0-. I also totally am with you wishing that it would happen faster.
