Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks out from RNY and I was wondering if it is too early for my hair to start falling out. I noticed last night that when I pulled my hair back, a small clump came out in my hand.

Are you getting in all your protien and taking your vitamins? There is a product called Biotin 5000 that helps with hair loss.

Hmm - usually hair loss dosen't start until 3-4-5 months out. Prehaps you're just ahead of the game. I've been taking Biotin since the day after surgery - but only 2000 mg. It's huge to get in all of your protien everyday - that will help GREATLY. Love you babe!

None here yet. I have started washing my hair every other day, instead of every day & I use the Nioxin shampoo & conditioner. Maybe it was just a fluke? Darlene
