WHAT AM I DOING WRONG????

Chandi I am not happy that we all are in this but I am happy to see I am not alone. I had lap RNY on 5/17 and I have lost a total of 51lbs (before and since surgey) but my scale hasn't move in forever!!! I still get scared that this is it.....all I will lose......but that won't do me any good either. Lets hope that the scales MOVE DOWN SOON!!! Jennifer

Chandi, You just made my day! My surgery was 5/16 and for the first 3 weeks, amazing loss! 35 lbs! but that darn scale has'nt moved moved for 10 days!! I know I shouldn't keep looking but c'mon.... not even 1/2 pound. ahhhhhhhhhhh just to know that others are having the same problem makes me feel so much better! keep up the great work. Eve

(((((((((Chandi))))))))))))))))))) hello my new b'day sister! I had surgery the same day and am down 21 pounds thus far! I guess from reading the posts that we all expected to be down quite a bit more then we are! Is it unrealistic expectations or were we led to believe something that's just not true, good questions but no answers?! Each person is different and i gather it also depends on how much you have to lose. I need to lose 112 lbs, alot for me but in the scheme of things, not so much...so for me i've lost like 18% of my weight in the first month. Someone who had to lose 200 would only be down 10% a bit more depressing i gather. I like to think that the slower i lose the more time my skin has to acclimate to my new body and maybe i won't end this journey looking like a sharpei puppy!!!!!! Chandi, I am with Andi in that we had our surgery the same day as you. We also happened to have it at the same hospital and same practice different doctors. Andi and I have been talking each day and while she has lost less then me which has frustrated her she is smaller and I have alot more weight to loose then she did. She was 112 lbs overweight per her privious post and I am was over 200 lbs overweight. You are doing great and just stop looking at the scale. I have decided to really only worry about the doctors scale and the Hewl with mine at home or the gym. Good luck sister both reborn 5/18. Ok, you wanna know what a dipsh*t i am...i went who the hell do i talk to with the name Chez? Then i realized it was you. That picture in your profile looks NOTHING like you now! I took more pictures this weekend so we can compare them to my pre-op photos I'll show you and the Missus and see what you think.
