Today I went to join Fit Zone for women, I had the initial measurements, weights, and tour. I can only do cardio for now, treadmill and elliptical bike. The FUNNY thing is the trainer asked me what was a REALISTIC goal for me to loose in 2 months???????? I said 50-60 lbs. She politely repeated like I was , "You want it to be as realistic as possible now" I said again 50-60 lbs!!!! She's like okay but if yiu only lose 20 or so thats a start. http://www.fitzoneforwomen.com/exercise.asp NOW, My question is do you think I was being deceitful or was I even wrong to not tell her about the WLS??????

Hi Honey!! Congrats on joining Fit Zone. You'll really enjoy working out once you're in a routine. In re: to rather it was deceitful to NOT tell the woman tha t you had WLS - that's a personal decision. I'm sure once she see's that you HAVE lost that much - she'll assume. I'm an open book and tell everyone. I had a ton of out of town employee's in today and a lot made comments like "OMG Megan you've really dropped" and I was quick to reply "Gastric Bypass!". Don't get me wrong - I'm working out harder then I ever have but tihs tool is amazing!

But you were realistic!!!! I say let her figure out what's going on! That aside, openess about this surgery is a personal choice! I'm going to check out fitzone! Kathy

Howdy Diva! Do you really think you are going to continue losing 25/30 pounds a month? My doctor told me to expect between 8-12 pounds a month from now on. If you can do it you go for it i'd be so proud and impressed but i don't want you to be disappointed by your own body. Be Well, ANDI

Actually I think I can lose about 25 lbs a month in the first few months(honeymoon phase) as long as I stay active as I have been. There are people NOT active at all losing 15-20 aq month............yeah I know everyone is different BUT I'm gonna give it MY ALL!!!!! So I plan to walk, treademill, bike, wahtever I have to do to away the pounds!

Actually, Andi - I'd be SHOCKED if she didn't lose at least 20lbs a month for the first six months. I'm a light weight and my surgeon informed me that I should lose between 15-30lbs a month for the first six. As stated - this is the "HONEYMOON PHASE". After that it would be shocking to lose as much but not now.

That's really funny because my surgeon said that from this point on i should be losing 8-12 pounds a month. I had only 112 to lose to start with. Now i've got 80 something, so i guess it's all in what you want to lose! Weren't you the same person who was complaining about losing so slowly in another message and 15-30 pounds per month would be an incredible loss!
