I weighed myself the morning before surgery and I was 294 pounds. As of this morning I am 276. Is this normal? is most of it jus****er weight? I have seen such a huge difference in my face and my hands and my feet. I had surgery on May 31st.

Hi Carrie
I too had lap/rny May 31st. My starting weight was 266 lbs. I lost 14 lbs the first week and only 1 lb the second week. I'm only weighing weekly so am due to weigh again on Wednesday. So our weight loss seems to be about the same.
I've also noticed a difference in my wrists - my rings and watch are much looser, but am not noticing a difference anywhere else. I want to loose from my tummy but I bet that's the last place I'll loose it from.
I'm not sure if this is fast or slow, but as long as the weight is going I'm not bothered!! Don't worry - I think we are doing just great for only being 2 1/2 weeks out.
It's normal, 2 weeks after surgery, I had lost 32 pounds. Now 1 and a half months later, I've lost a total of 67 pounds. My doctor says it's not typical to lose as much as I have, but it's completely fine.
I'm more active physically, playing in a softball league and going to practice two times a week. I also do little workouts inbetween. The key thing is to walk and walk a lot. Go to the mall and walk around the entire place, that's what I do. Go to a sports game and walk around the stadium as you watch the game. It doesn't even feel like you're exercizing if you're having fun at the same time. Of course, walks in the park are nice too.
I had surgery May 31st. and so far 15.5 lb change, so you are a little ahead of me.
hands, feet, face and waist are my big indicators so far. I am seeing some changes in my thighs as well.
I am not walking as much as I should. with the rain, it is just too depressing. I do try to get out daily even to just get a little grocery shopping in.
