9 days out and feel great
Well, I just wanted to update everyone. I got that darn drain tube out, and I feel sooooo much better. I have no pain now at all. I have not had but one pain pill and that was last night when I went to bed. I kind of over did it yesterday, but I was feeling so good. I run errands all over town and was out for about 6 hrs. But I pushed myself a bit to much. Spent the whole day today outside. And the best part is that I have lost 15 lbs. Not including the 22 that I gained in the hospital and lost the first 3 days home. Wow!! I feel so much better. I have had no problems eating anything, getting my protein, or my fluids. Life is so much better. I just hope everyone else is doing good. Later.

Hey Megan, I have not started working out yet. I am starting that on Monday. I will going to the YMCA everyday to work out. Honestly, I don't think I am ready. I don't think my body has healed enough for that. But by Monday, I am starting out slow with some walking and stuff. I think that my oxygen complications in the hospital set me back a bit, that is the only thing I can figure. I seem to be a bit behind everyone else. But in the hospital, I was not allowed to get up, my O2 was so low, if I raised my head up to high I got dizzy and they were afraid I was going to pass out. So I have had to take things slow. But, excited to be doing so much better.

Hi Angela
So glad you are feeling great after the rough start you had. I'm still having to take it easy - I went to the grocery store just for a few bits and pieces and nearly collapsed! I'm having to take it really easy, resting after I eat and after I do something (like take a shower or something) even though my mind feels like it can do stuff, my body can't yet. I was originally planning on returning to work on Monday, but realise that won't be happening so will take another week off.
Keep us posted on how you are doing. I weighed myself 1 week out (wednesday) and got a shock as I'd already lost 14 pounds! I think it's a big physical shock to my body, but I'm really pleased.
