Oh Brandy....I know you are missing your caffine but did your surgeon not tell you to try and quit the caffine before surgery? I said goodbye to mine and it was TOUGH let me tell you, I don't think it is easy for anyone. Maybe go to decaf coffee...it will be hard at first but after a while it will get comfortable for you. And as far as the Baby food???!!! Why aren't you just pureeing your food yourself. You can have much more flavor and what you like. JMHO Hugs! Shele

Yea baby food sucks but I tried pureeing my food my self and my blender doesn't quite get the job done. I did buy a Magic Bullet on ebay and I'm just waiting on it to come in. As for now it is just easier to but the baby food it's not like I can eat much anyway. I also eat mashed potatoes. Brandy

Personally I'm not a big coffee or tea person so I'm not really sure. Although I've been craving a diet pepsi! I would just call your doctor and ask if it's okay for you to have these things and see what he says. Quick question for you though, why baby food?

Hi Brandy, My surgeon said no caffeine due to the fact that it causes constriction of the small blood vessels in the skin. This constriction actually limits the body's ability to heal. Of course then my nut. says since I had to give it up for six weeks, might as well quite it all together. Plus something about stomach (pouch) irritation..... I'll give it up 6-weeks, then we'll see...... Humbly, Jeff

I was also told no more caffeine. It is a natural diuretic and will only be allowed decaf after a full month out. Also was told that baby food has too much sugars in them. Good Luck Take care of you, Debbie

Hi Brandy - I was told that caffeine is a diuretic, impacts insulin, and increases the appetite. Its hard to go wtihout! I miss diet pepsi like crazy. Take care, Heather

I'm not a great coffee drinker, but am missing my hot tea. Also desperately missing diet pepsi...anyone know why we can't have fizzy drinks anymore?
