Once again I am 7 days post op and I tried taking the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins but they taste horrible. I am now on Flintstones Complete chewable. Does anyone know if that is okay?? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Karlie,
My Surgeon and Nut both started us on Flintstones 3 x day. I am now taking Centrum chewables 2 x day and my Dr is great with that. Its cheaper for me than the Bariatric Advantage or twin labs. I have to keep costs down where ever I can.
I've read they are ok in the short term, but eventually you should get on adult vitamin as there are some vitamins not found in the Flintstones, but that are in the Centrum chewbles & liquid.
I found that the flintstones vits. gave me a metallic taste in my mouth. My surgeon said that I could go to the Centrum chewables. They are orange flavored and leave no after taste. Hope this helps you.
Pam
I was told to take children's chewable complete vitamins 2, twice a day (total of 4)
i have my appointment next Monday, and i'll be moved to an adult vitamin. and should be starting my B12 then too i believe.
I am on a lean meat, leafy green veggies only diet for the next 4-6 months, and I take 2 flintstones complete each morning and 2 each afternoon, and will continue for life.
I'm on Equate Children's complete, Wal-Marts generic to flintstones, they taste better(I suck on them). They have of the same vitamin values and they are cheaper as well. I take 3 through out the day but not with my synthroid, cuz of the Iron.
