Ok, well i am now a Month post op... Here are my "stats" so far! 254 Starting Weight 242 Pre-op 242 Week 1 235 Week 2 231 Week 3 226 Week 4 226 TODAY~~ Total loss of 28lbs. I must admit i am a little disappointed that it's not more, i read about alot others losing so much more in their first month. BUT i also keep in mind that we're not all the same. i just have to work harder is all... (always did have to be different) hahahaha I have been feeling great! my G-tube spot is almost completely healed (has a nice hard scab on it) I've been walking 3 to 4 miles a day (1 mile at a time) I have been consuming 90% of my protien through solid foods, which i know will make the dietician very happy to hear! I need to improve on my water consumption though. My goal for this next month is to lose another 20lbs. and another jean size. to walk 2 miles at a time.. and to drink atleast 5 bottles of water a day!! It's my 31st Birthday on Saturday!! and i believe i have given myself the best Birthday Present i could ever give myself, a chance at a healthier life!!! These boards have been a blessing for me, finding answers to questions, from previous posts, or being able to ask questions no matter how silly they may seem. Everyone here has been absolutley wonderful!! and i hope to be able to return that generosity to new comers.... HAPPY DAYS EVERYONE!! and Thank you for being YOURSELVES!!!! **HUGS** ~Alison

Congrats on the awesome weight loss! Something that you (and I!) both need to remember is that we're on the "small side" (HAHAHA NICE) to have started with. A lot of the people that lose much more then you already have tend to have much more to lose then us. You know what I mean? The more you have to lose the more you're going to lose in the beginning. Go by the % of body weight you've lost - not the lbs. That will be more accurate when you compare yourself. Although, we all know we shouldn't compare at all!! ;) I think you've done AMAZING! Congrats! Keep up the great work.

Way to go Alison, and Happy Birthday! You're doing great! I'm losing slowly too, so your post was encouraging to read to know that I'm not alone. We also started at the exact same weight! Keep up the good work! Heather RNY 5/17/06 254/233/221

I am also one mjonth post op and my startig weight iwas 253 and I have only lost to 245! 7 pounds in one month; my weight loss has been slow; I am also at times feeling hungry and I am able to get 12 oz of fluids in less than an hour; this was the case when i was one and two weeks out. I hope I don;t end up failing this weight loss program like all the other ones. This was a major descion and I hope this does ok
