I came home Friday from RNY in Fremont CA. Dr. Dutta was awesome. All went well. I am FULL of gas though. I walk walk and it rumbles rumbles. I feel swollen and like many of you have gained 10lbs. I could not believe it. I am having faith that his will change. I have been to the grocery store and Target. I am doing pretty well with pain. Having trouble getting food in and feel like i am sipping all of the time.

Hi Wendy!! Welcome home. The weight gain is VERY normal. I gained about 10lbs too when I was in the hospital from the IV fluid that they pumped me with. I also felt bloated until the past couple of days. The more you walk the more gas will leave your system which will help with the bloating. I know it's really hard to get food in right now. Are you on a liquid diet or pureed?

I am still on a liquid one until post op on the 9th. Seems like things that have a sweeter base- jello, pudding, cream of wheat and cottage cheese go down the best. My grandparents made me soup that I "Know" is wonderful but does not taste good right now. I hope it changes. The bloating seems to be going down. I bought a treadmill yesterday. It felt good to buy something like that knowing that I will actually use it. How are you feeling?
