Home last night....a little scared

Hi Everyone; I got home last night at 8:00pm form the hospital after my surgery on Monday the 15th. I wanted to thank Tami calling to check on me in the hospital and posting how everything went for me. I really appreciated hearing from you!!!! IWell since I've been home I've been doing my sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, but since I have three little ones, did not rest much. I helped my husband with non-lifting activities like feeding the babies and reading to my older daughter. My concern is around 8:30pm I started to feel a little weak and I laid down and my temp was 99.3 after about ten minutes went to 100 F. Kept taking and it kept going between 99.8 to 100 F. My husband called my surgeons office and unfortunately he is out of town till tomorrow so his on call phys called and said I should take my liquid tylenol and make sure my temp does not spike again by 1:00PM. If it does he says I need to go to the hospital. I'm really scared has this happened to anyone else!! Please let know!!! __________________

Hi there I'm still pre op so can't help you with your question, but wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you. Take care of yourself and don't take any chances. If you are worried, then go to ER if neccessary. Let us know how you get on.

Mine went up to 101.6 at 4 days post-op. But it came back down on its own & my white blood cell count was fine. My doc said some people do that after surgery. He said he doesn't get concerned until it is over 101.5. Darlene

I had a temp right after i came home from the hosptial but the doctor told me I could have a little fever as my body adjusted to the surgery. I took care of itself and I'm fine. Take care and keep us posted
