Thanks Laurie for you reply. I used to work 12.5 hour shifts at work during the night and I found when I sat all night that would happen to me too. But now that I am working a more normal schedule and not sitting as much it doesnt happen any more.

I haven't had this same thing but I do have to becareful when drinking water. If I swallow air with it, I'm uncomfortable until I burp up all the air.
Now I do get gas build up in a strange way. I just drove from Michigan to Oklahoma, which is a little over 1,000 miles. I did it in two days. Two days of driving in the car and I was a bloated up gas bubble waiting to EXPLODE!!!! I can't figure out why, I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. Pehaps it's just because I wasn't up and moving about like I usually am. Anyway, after a day of being out of the car it pretty much went all away and I felt better.
Hope you get some relief soon!!!

Topic: Gas Buildups
In the last two weeks I have had these terrible attacks which feel like gas building up in my throat. It has happened from different things, once it was garnola, a few times it was from water. I can tell the way the water is going down that it is going to happen. Once this happens I cannot eat or drink all day, it does go away once I sleep it off. If I eat or drink I must throw up in order to get relief. Anyone else experience this?

Hi Shannon,
I had gained almost 20 pounds and went back to my surgeon last week. Somehow looking her in the eye has helped me now be accountable. I'm now planning everything that goes into my mouth. I was eating a lot of quick and easy stuff. I'm trying not to eat out much at all. It's harder, but I've already lost about 3 pounds in about 5 days. I'm taking my lunch to work, only having healthy things around to snack on, and trying to walk at least 3 times a day. I cannot tell you how much better I feel. I encourage you to think about how you can plan better to avoid the faster things. I know we can both get through this. I'm here for you any time. Feel free to email me if you'd like!
Big hugs,
Wanda

Welcome back, Heidi! I remember you!!! I had a TT done 2/1 and am happy with the results so far. I still have a good deal of swelling and such done and just in the last week have been able to fit into my pre-TT jeans! I wasn't able to wear them for the first 2-1/2 weeks and was very discouraged and thought, "Umm...we're going the wrong way here!!" but the doc assured me that the swelling would go away. I was size 12/14 pre-TT and am guessing I'll be a 10/12 when all is said and done (as my thighs are still bigger and don't think they'd fit into anything smaller than a 10).
If you had a TT done, how long did it take for your belly button to close up?

Shannon,
Hang in there!!! I recommend going to a Weigh****chers group. Their core program is pretty easy to follow and track. It sounds like you're grazing a bit too much and you are eating some foods too high in fat. Unfortunately, we still have to track what we eat to get to goal!
My sister had the surgery 15 months ago and her surgeon (in FLA) recommended an Astenosis injection to tighten up the Astenosis so she is unable to eat as much. I've never heard of it...in fact I had 3 dialations done because of scar tissue on my Astenosis. But it may be worth you asking your surgeon about.
Keep the faith...I know you do not want to gain it all back.
Hugs

Michelle,
I'm so sorry you're having so much pain and discomfort. Do you take milk of magnesia or anything like that regularly. Perhaps it would help with the tummy and gas discomfort. Fibromyalgia is just a *****! My sister-in-law suffer with it. Have you tried getting regular messages for it? I certainly don't have any answers, just trying to offer what has helped others.
Hang in there
