Topic: Happy 2 year Anniversary
I pray all is well. Has it been two years?? Wow. Remember how excited we were during the month of May counting off our surgery days.
My Lap Band is doing its job. I'm down 100 lbs. had my first round of Plastics at Stanford in Oct. and am having my second round Jun 7. Have finished several marathons. Life is good in the coastal redwoods of CA.
When I'm on line, I'm committed to "paying it forward". Especially with Lap Bands, there are a huge majority of patients who have little after care, and pre ops who are uninformed. I've commited myself to learning about support groups, abuse healing, and life coaching. Just getting this surgery done is not a cure all as we all know.
I try to spend several hours a week advising LapBander forums and now plastic surgery forums. May I encourage all of you to be sure to help others on whatever forum you want. At 2 years out we are now experienenced verterans.
Remember to help others. Remember how you felt 2 years ago and immediately post op.
And congratulations. For those who are struggling, stay faithful and persistent. Success is our responsibility!!

Hi Everyone!
congrats on two years! Amazing isn't it? I've gained about 20 pounds and am not proud of that, but am committed to not gaining anymore and losing some of the 20. I'm still down over 100 pounds and life is oh so much better than two years ago!
Best wishes to everyone!

I've being doing great! I just had another WOW moment this week actually. I wore a rather short skirt (about two inches above the knee) to work. It didn't look trashy, but I was definately showing some leg. Anyway, there are some guys working on the bay/dock doors right were I walk into the building to go to my office and to make a long story short, I finally realized that everytime I walked in and out, I STOPPED WORK! They would literally stop what they were doing and watch me walk! I was definately turning heads. ME!?!?
Anyway, I've never been happier. I'm healthy, my kids are doing well in school, and I'm married to my best friend. I'm maintaining a healthy weight right at goal. Life is good!
Miss you all,
Heather

Today is 2 years for me and things are great. I'm 8 weeks out from hernia and anchor TT. My weight is stable, but still swollen some.
How are you Kathy?
