Stolen...I mean borrowed from someone on the main message board... Before you take that first bite of snack, sit down and count from 1 by 1 up to the number of pounds you have lost. So, in my case, 1 to 114. And do it slowly savoring each pound of it. Wonder if this will ward off the snack urge. Couldn't hurt. Kathy

B - oatmeal (I'm telling you it really does a good job keeping the plumbing working) S - protein drink L - bad bad bad - I had McDonalds (just count stand the thought of more tunafish) so I had a dbl cheeseburger no bun, apple dippers, and I've got a large tea to nurse on now. S - nuts D - Well dh is coming home so we'll be making home made pizza. I make it with white crust, but it's super thin crust with no big crust edge like regular pizza. S - protein drink - I've noticed some hair coming out again so I'm going back to two protein drinks per day. water - perhaps I'm not doing well in this department. Today I feeling quite poor. Lightheaded, shaky, eyes are fighting to focus. I think this is not enough water. vits - I'm on it Exercise - I'm thinking about it, but that's about it.

YIPPIE IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made it - I made it - I made it to Friday!!!!! My DH will be home today at 2pm and he'll be home all weekend!!!!! I'm so glad, this has been one looooooong week without him. It's not a beach day here though, completely overcast and chilly this morning. You can tell that fall is fast approaching. My daughter had a friend over last night... boy, can those kids make alot of noise. I heard a lot of "shhh dont wake mom" and "no,we cant eat until mom's up" early this morning!! lol We're not doing much of anything today. Cleaning up the house before dh gets home and then we'll probably make home made pizza tonight for dinner. I weighed in at 131 - yup two pounds from yesterday. I KNOW it was the tuna caserole I ate last night for dinner (carbs, carbs, carbs) Darn it!!!! You CHOOSE to have a great Friday - despite all the junk that going on in your life right now!!!!!!!! Topic: Happy Friday!
Happy Day, everyone. Well, I'm not happy but I'll wish everyone else a happy day. LOL! Hopefully things will be getting better for me soon. Got some more information and things clarified. I understand things more which is good and that cuts back on having my mind race about all the "whys, whats, and hows". I know I'm talking vague here but that's all it'll be. I reached out last night and called my therapist. Hopefully I'll hear from her today. Been a couple of years but it is always nice to touch base and get caught up and use her as a sounding board for things. Knowing she is a phone call away gives me such great comfort. Today is the 3rd morning I've skipped the gym. My back/leg had been giving me grief for a while (I see my back surgeon on the 30th). Yesterday was more a lack of sleep from the night before and today was just an "I don't care" attitude. I will go tomorrow when I can take my time and put in a full workout. I weighed in at 162.5 today. Up a pound from yesterday... I could tell while laying in bed... my wedding rings weren't flopping around... can you say salt and probably not enough water yesterday? But it's 4 lbs down from last Friday (I weigh-in officially - on my records on Fridays - probably since my surgery was on a Friday and since it is before a weekend... yada yada yada). I had gone up higher than last Friday too. Damn reaction to those Power Crunch bars. Wonder what it is. 10 grams of carbs, 5 sugars. Obvioulsy the flour in them (to make the wafer) or the sugar... caused a crazy reaction to the tune of a 7.5 lbs gain in 2-3 weeks. I hate my body sometimes. I'm still up 2.5 lbs from a month ago and I had been down to 158 for a few fleeting days. Ah life... On a side note, think I might see the endo. Way too many hairs on the shower floor this morning. Hadn't seen that since the post-op shedding of last August/September. Wonder if my thyroid is funky. Though... could be stress... Enough ramblin'... Have a great day, Kathy
