Topic: What's for dinner tonight?
I'm not going to post what I've eaten all day, because it's not that great - beef from some beef and noodles for breakfast, toppings off a WW pizza for lunch.. PB and celery (thanks for the idea, Kathy!) for snack.
Dinner:
grilled chicken in a herbed rub and marinated in robust Italian dressing
corn on the cob
potatoes o'gratin
tossed salad
I feel like crap, I'm still waiting on my lab results... haven't felt like doing squat all day, but all of a sudden, got the urge to cook...
So what's on the menu for ya'll?

Congrats, Candy. Can certainly understand your excitement.
I keep waiting for someone to wave at me and circle me or say I have a nice butt in Portuguese or at least glance - something - but so far... nada...
LOL!

Candy -- you must be a Hot Tamale! (get it?).
Yes, I'm a geek, but reading your post put a great big smile on my face. I've only been knowingly checked out once since surgery, and you are right -- it is the best!
Kudos to you for walking an extra mile. That rocks!

Topic: WOW moment!!!
My son is spending the weekend with my in laws and Terry is working today so being all alone I took advantage of it and went over to the YMCA to walk. On my 7th lap around a white truck passes and blows the horn. I look back and see a man looking back at me as he stops at the 4 way stop. I did not recognize the person or the vehicle so I turn around and keep walking. Then it dawns on me, maybe he was checking me out, yeah right and keep going. Then next thing I know he has turned around and passing me again in the opposite direction and he is breaking his neck to see me. He waves and I wave to be nice and he turns around in the school parking lot across the street and passes me yet a third time. He doesnt wave this time but smiles as he drives by slowly and is gone. Man oh Man! Now dont worry I am happily married but it is absolutely the most flattering and desirable feeling when someone else notices you from the opposing side. That absolutely made my day, Ive been walking on cloud nine ever since. I was so happy that I walked an extra mile instead of just the two I had intended.

Edamame rocks!
It is super easy to make at home, but if you want to treat yourself, go to a Japanese or Sushi restaurant and order it there. It's just steamed with salt, but so yummy. It does give you things to do with your hands instead of just shovelling into your mouth.
If you are not sure of a Japanese or Sushi restaurant -- try it out. There are lots of things that are cooked, and you don't have to eat the rice if it bothers you. My husband gets a chicken teriyaki meal w/chicken, vegetable and shrimp tempura, salad, and a California roll. I get a spicy tuna roll (yum) and then eat some of that and some of his California roll. It's a nice treat and not too expensive when we can't eat very much volume.
I've also steamed up some shelled edamame at home and mixed it with grilled salmon with some italian dressing or vinaigrette. It's a great cold summer salad. Kathy, thought you might enjoy that since you eat so much salmon!
Cheers!

You should be able to log your cell number on the no-call list...
Google "No Call List" - I can't remember the url, but it should be easy to find. Then, if they call, tell them you're on the list and they'll never bug you again.

I dont know about you fine people, but i have been getting a TON of calls on my cell phone lately.... any words of wisdom? I get these calls at all hours and it costs me money..... and I am not in the right financial place to get these calls, and it cost me money to even answer the phone and tell them. and I know that the people that work for these people are just trying to make ends meet so I hate to be rude to them.. but I get soooo frustrated. but what do I do??
any advice??
Jess
my cell phone is my home phone, so I cant even call from a different number, and it cost me $$ to call an 800 number from my cell phone... ...!! uggh!

Edemame is awesome. You can buy them frozen in the health food section or the frozen veggie section of the store - they're soy beans in the pod. You can thaw and eat them raw or boil them in some sal****er. They're very nutty and because they're in the pod, you have to kind of work at getting to them, not as easy to just grab handfuls...
