I eat on a schedule. Every two hours. If I don't my blood sugar drops too low and I get quite sick. I can now tell time just by listening to my pouch... when it says time to eat - I look at the clock and sure enough, it's been two hours. Laurie

Topic: RE: I think I have strep throat...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... Go to the doctor right away!!!!!!!!! You need antibiotics and you need them now. In January 1995 I came home from work feeling just like you did. Sore throat, I could hardly talk, my head hurt soooo horribly bad. I had to leave work and go home. That is the last thing I remember.... I woke up days later in the hospital. Evidently, I had come home and told my husband that I'd stay with the kids and he could go to his meetings (and we'd save money not using a babysitter that day) He had two important meetings planned that day and couldn't miss either of them. We had four children at that time and I was pregnant with number 5. My dh says that he decided to be late for the second meeting and come home and see how I was doing. (Obviously before the cell phone age)..... Him coming home saved my life. The doctors told him if he'd have been a 1/2 hour later he would have come home to a dead wife. I was sooooo sick!! 107 temperature. After tons of test and medications (even though dh told them I was pregnant) they shook their heads and told my husband that I probably wouldn't live through the night.... days later I woke up to learn that I had strep throat and that the infection had gotten in my blood stream almost killing me!!! That was 10 years ago and to this day, anytime I get even the smallest sore throat I'm totally freaked out about it!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!! Hugs, laurie

I'm pretty good with a schedule during the week, but the weekends are bad. During the work week: Protein shake on the way into the office at 6:30 Breakfast at 7:30-8:00am Snack around 10 Lunch between 11:30 and 12 Snack around 3 Dinner - anywhere between 6 and 8... if it's later, I usually throw another small snack in around 5 or 6 Don't typically eat after dinner. On the weekends, it's pretty much a free-for all... I usually get something to eat by 9 and then maybe some sort of "lunch" around noon or 1 and a couple of snacks. I'm pretty freestyle about it - probably not the best, I just eat when I feel like I'm burning low...

Hi Candy, You know... I was on a schedule the first 14 months... and was so dilligent about this and now I am very good about certain things... ie: I have a protein shake mon-fri at my office. I take my vitamins 7 days a week like I am supposed to. But lunch and dinner are anybodys guess. I do eat every few hours but its not always as healthy as it used to be. My job for the past 6 weeks has been incredibly busy and there has been a very ill family member that I rush home to care for. I dont know when my situation is going to change. The family member could stay ill for a long time and I am kind of stuck. Insurance does not pay for medical care? Soooooo. I hope I am not setting myself up. I am not gaining... but I dont feel as healthy as I did 6 weeks ago. I guess sometimes "life gets in the way?" I do miss my 'schedule' and sometimes I wish I lived alone and was an orphan..... lol boy... that is a long winded answer... guess I needed to vent? lol Jess

Topic: RE: OT: Look Mommy, I made a water park!
I can definately relate! I have constantly check on Chandler when hes in the bath, he loves to splash. I use to put him in my garden tub until he splashed so much water that the paint has started to peel off around the tub. Now hes in the other bathroom in the regular old tub. His thing is bubbles only they dont stay in the tub with him! Candy
