Ok, I totally biffed this day... Tell me why when MOST people are sick, they don't eat. When I'M sick, I can't quit eating... Pre B - about 4 cups of coffee B - 4 oz yogurt S - slice of lean ham and piece of cheese L - 1.5 cups beef barley soup S - quaker mini wheat rice crisps - about 12 S - cheezits - about 20 S - granola bar S - protein shake S - boiled egg OMG I've had 5 snacks this afternoon!!!! MAKE ME STOP!!!!

1. The best thing about WLS is it worked! 2. The worst thing about WLS is I had to take that route. 3. The one thing I wish I knew pre-op that I know now is it's more mental than physical. 4. Since WLS, I can now touch my nose to my knees without bending my legs. 5. The biggest surprise after WLS is how quickly it's gone by! 6. The thing I expected after WLS that never happened was complications. 7. Since WLS, I just cannot get used to how other people react to my new appearance. 8. The best compliment paid to me since WLS was "You look so... HAPPY!" 9. The silliest thing someone said to be since WLS was: Well, this was said to my DH, not me "You know, she's going to lose all of her hair, have to take big honkin pills the rest of her life and have a bunch of nasty flabby skin." - yeah, ok, my hair thinned, but I didn't go bald, I take some vits - but they're chewable and they're good for me, and yep, I do have some nasty flabby skin, but I STILL think it was silly! 10. My life after WLS is so much more FUN then I ever expected

Wow, sounds like fun! Well, okay, maybe for a few days, anyway. Have a good break and be good to yourself.

You're going to do just fine, April! It's pretty exciting isn't it? Anyway, don't sweat student loans too much. They are a fact of life; I owe Uncle Sam about $100,000 in student loans. No, that's not a typo. I said one-hundred-thousand-dollars. Of course, I'll be repaying it until I die. But I guess there's worse ways to blow $100K.
