Topic: RE: Annoyed with my surgeon
Dear Michelle,
I'm trying to stay between 800-1000 cal/day. I still have 35 lbs to loose. The caloric daily value recommendations are based on age, sex and activity level... there is a good table at the bottom of the page on this site:
www.health.gov/dietaryguidelines/dga2005/document/html/chapter2.htm#table1
When all is said and done... no one is average.... we have our own needs and nutritional requirements. You need to do what you need to do to feel healthy. If you are trying to maintain your calories should be more than 1000. If you are still trying to drop, he may be right.

Happy Birthday, Laurie!
One doesn't need to spend a dime to have a good day. Relaxin' is such a nice treat. The kids are so sweet to take on the chores. for them!
Enjoy your manicure, pedicure and such!

Topic: BIRTHDAY
Today is my birthday!!! Got no money, my dh is gone and when he gets home tonight he's gonna be one tired man, but I'm going to have a GREAT day anyway.
We always spend Friday am doing major cleaning before Daddy gets home. Shower, toilets, extra dusting, all the laundry - pretty much a head to toe cleaning on the house.
Well, because today is my birthday - I'M NOT DOING ANY OF IT!!!!!
dd is doing all the laundry for me
ds1 is doing all the bathroom cleaning
ds2 is doing all the vacuming and dusting and garbage out
ds3 will be doing whatever is left when he gets home at noon.
I'm just gonna sit around and pamper myself. I'm doing my nails and a peticure treatment on my feet. Then I'll just sit in my lazyboy and work on my cross stitch!!!
I'm 37 today. It sure doesn't seem like it. I feel a lot younger now, like 25. Funny when I turned 35 I said that I felt like I was 55 - so geee this wls has given me 30 years!!!!!
Woooooooo Hooooooooooo
who says ya need money to enjoy your birthday?!

Hey Jen,
I wouldn't limit that behavior to animials... I work with some people that only, eat, sleep, poop and walk around aimlessly.

Thank you ladies...I knew you could make me feel better! I have 3 dogs myself but they have never bothered my chickens. And they are a border collie, dalmation and spaniel beagle mix, you would think for sure they would chase them around.
Last night after I posted my big black chicken died. It seemed that she had heat stroke. I tried to cool her off but it just didn't work. I am just so bummed. Luckily the chickens seem to have gotten over it already. The four hens and Rusty are out in the yard like nothing ever happened. It must be nice to be a "dumb animal" just eat, poop and walk around the yard!

I agree with Kathy - I think your surgeon has rocks in his head. EVEN IF under 1000 calories was appropriate - which I say is hogwash anyhow, it doesn't make since that if the only way you're able to stay at that level is because you're sick and feeling like crap - and he's OK with that?

What's up with these surgeons???????
There should be some "basic" standard for what the "average" wls patient needs at what point. I've heard ppl say that they should be eatting 900 calories and others as high as 1800 calories (everyone was under 2 years out)... mine told me 1500 calories. WTH I don't get it at all!!!!!!
Topic: RE: New Snack Wrap
I'm sure the fat is way up there. I didn't check it cuz I don't keep track of fats. It would take me alot of planning to make sure I didn't OD on carbs that day if i got one of these again.... but it was good!!

If your stoma need dilation, you get it dilated. You need to be able to eat and not feel crappy.
I think your doctor is taking some drugs. 1200-1500 calories this far out is not unreasonable.
Geez,
Kathy
