Topic: Guess What I Did Today!
I took the afternoon off and got a new tattoo... Ok, well, not a BRAND new tattoo... I had one on my arm from pre-WLS and it was sliding because of the weight loss and had been bugging me for quite a while. So, I had some stuff added to it to even it out and had the original work touched up to match! I'm so excited! lol
Originally, I had an eye with flames for the top lashes and water for the bottom, and in the iris was a crescent moon with sort of a face in it. Well, since it was sliding off, I added a flame-like Aztec son coming out of the flames on the lashes to kind of balance it out and make it look more symmetrical - it looks SOOOOO cool!
Hurts, though!

AAAwww Jen, so sorry about your chicks! I agree with Becky, its an owners ultimate responsibility to keep their animals/pets at bay at all times.

Topic: RE: Annoyed with my surgeon
I found out from my metabolic testing that my body needs about 1300 to fuel the organs and brain at complete rest. Without formal exercise, I burn 2000 cals or so just through my normal day of moving around. If I eat more than 1300 and less than 2000, I should lose. If I eat 2000, I should be maintaining. If I eat over 2000, I'm in a surplus situation. If I go to the gym and burn 300 calories...those numbers change to 1600 to 2300 respectively.

Thank you for this info. Kate! That is good information to have. 800-1000 cal/day is just NOT healthy in my opinion. No nutritionist or dietician will tell you to eat that little even if you're trying to lose weight. I know right at first we couldn't eat more than that, but to stay at that level for a long period of time is just not good for us - our bodies will be in starvation mode. According to that chart, I should be eating 1800-2000 calories/day to maintain - so anything LESS than that will make me lose. It's all about calories in vs. calories out. I expend more than I eat and I will lose.

Happy birthday, sweety! Aaron turned 37 yesterday. Liv is going to my sister's, Holden to his dad's and I took the afternoon off. We're going to spend the weekend together, just hanging out together.

That's what my biggest issue is. I was eating more than that before and now SUDDENLY I can't and I feel nauseous, no appetite, etc. so there's something wrong. He just wasn't listening to that. He was just saying, "Well, now you're eating the right amount of food." That's my annoyance!
Oh, well. Hopefully I'll find out something today.
