I totally understand.  I have regained approx 40 of the 108 I lost.  I can eat anything and not dump.  I did well when there were suppot groups to attend in my area and I was on here daily.  But travel outside the country lead me to eat things I didn't normally eat when I couldn't find my regular foods.  No support groups in my area anymore lets me be less accountable and this is the first time in years I could access OH.  I hope this will help me get my mind back on me and my food again.  I put myself and food issues on the back burner for a long time now and it shows.

This is the 1st time I've been able to access my OH account in years.  I wonder who's still out there too!

I hear ya! I had some kind of intestine surgery that no one could put a name too and hernia surgery. I rarely if ever have any dumping issues and can eat just about anything. Every now and then my sugar will bottom out but it is easily fixed with a graham cracker and some peanut butter.
So the weight started creeping back 145...155....165.....175...I realized I had slipped back into the habit of not taking care of me first. I got back on track...decided to train for a 10K and joined a running school. I track all my food and exercise on Sparkpeople.com.
I find that if I do not have a goal to work towards I just fall back into the same old things. I am well aware that I am totally crazy...addicted to food, recovering alcoholic, can't seem to stay quit from smoking....and on and on!! So by exercising and obsessing over my food tracker I am able to redirect my craziness!
Hope there is something in here that can help you......Jen

...since I had my gastric bypass surgery. I started out strong, like I know we all did, losing 100lbs in only 6 months time. I went from 331 down to 196 and was feeling fantastic. Back came my happiness, my self confidence and I was just myself again, not that sad, lonely fat girl.

I had issues sure. Herniated intestine surgery in Oct 2006, intessuception in March 2007 (never fixed surgically, it went away on its own), severe B12 and anemia, but all in all everything was okay and under control.

Now I find myself at 266lbs. Eating everything I could eat before the bypass, no dumping no issues with food at all. My problem is I'm so unhappy and disgusted with myself. I have no idea where to go or what to do from here. I didn't go through the surgery just to gain the weight back.

Im asking for advice, tips, tricks....ANYTHING that can help me kick start the weight loss and get back down to where I was and even less.

Thank you all in advance for your help and support.

Topic: Pouch has Stretched
About six months ago, I started seing a new bariatric surgeon for yearly checkups and since I've begun gaining.  After a UGI, it was discovered that my pouch has stretched to over three times it's post-surgical size.  Of course, this is some of my doing, but I'm very angry.  An RNY revision is possible but not recommended due to the risk (risky on its own, but I've had twisted bowel surgery as well).  Another potential fix is similar to banding, but it's a permanent band, but it has a lower success rate.  My food issues still exist and I know that any kind of revision still wouldn't fix that.  I'd like to know what you would do -- surgical, non-surgical, etc -- please offer your (kind and practical) advice.

Thank you!!
Dawn

P.S.  My advice to ALL readers -- never let your doctor tell you that a pouch can't stretch.

Been there, done that.  I lost it again, but maintaining would be easier if I would exercise!
