And the Wow Moments Keep Rollin' in...
Hi May Buddies....
I've got to share some Wow moments that occurred during my Surgerversary trip.
1). I saw my Mother for the first time in 18 months.... She actually said that she was "Proud of Me"!! (p.s. She doesn't know I had surgery... I wonder if it would matter)... probably... 
2). I say my Dad for (whom I haven't seen since Sept), he asked me if I was getting "Anna-Rexsick"... (gotta love him)... After 20 minutes of assurances, he said he's got to start getting back his girlish figure..... (he's around 400 now) 
3). I was dancing at a club in Captiva and the Keyboard player/Singer in the band is someone I've partied with every few years. He actually stopped in the middle of a song and said "Kate?".. and when I waved at him, he called me "Skinny Minnie". I laughed and he called a break after that song. He came down and gave me a big hug and swung me around. (It's really cool for someone to be able to do that without having to call the paramedics with a backboard)..... 
4). One of my girlfriends was so impressed with my tranformation that she's having WLS as soon as she gets approved. She said that she was on the fence (even though she has a lot of weight related health problems). But at 11 months out, she sees that I still live a "normal" albeit healthy lifestyle.
The only downside to the vacation was that I couldn't take all my May Buddies with me...
Let's try to plan a trip where we can all have some Fun MAYSTER TIME!!!

I seriously love to travel... Do we want to start a committee to meet Next May somewhere warm?... That would give everyone time to make arrangements and put away some $$$.
Let's start with suggestions for locations... once location and dates are outlined... I'll look into group airfare and discounted rates....

Great wow moments! You should be proud!!!! Even with WLS!!! It still ain't a "get out of diet and exercise jail free card."
Hey, I'm going to be in Boston for a few days in August, maybe we could do dinner or something? I there for a work trip, the hotel is always in the "back bay". Is that in your neck of the woods?

Hey Kate,
I'm kinda new to the May board but I wanted to say congratulations on all your successes. I am going back home to Ohio the end of this month and I haven't seen family in years so it will be an experience. I am excited and nerves at the same time.
Anyway, it sounds like you've done a great job!!
