Interesting moment at DMV

Hi All ~ Well, my driver's license expires this month, so I thought it would be a great time to spend 2 hours of my beautiful Saturday just to update the stats and picture on my drivers license. Anyway, the man taking the photos was funny and friendly and actually made the wait at DMV end on a happier note for people updating their licenses. So, he says Wow, you've lost a lot of weight. I smile proudly and say, Yes I have! He then asks me how I did it, and I said Oh, I had surgery. He gets this sympathetic-crossed with I shouldn't have asked look on his face and says, oh . . . well, hey. Whatever works, eh? I then realized that he did not know I was talking about WLS. I'm sure he took one look at my thinned hair, and thought cancer surgery or something else. Funny, but I got into this mode that everyone knew about WLS. It's just funny that a stranger thought something completely different! Angie

I guess the guy doesn't understand when you say "I had surgery" that you meant "the surgery". So many people understand that these days. Very interesting. Great idea getting a new license. Your post made me look at mine. Mine is good until 2010 but I'm going to have to get the picture redone for sure. Redid it in 2004 when I got married but that was before any weight loss. Kathy
