Gym Is Open (Wednesday)

I did take a 55 minute walk last night since I missed going to the gym in the morning yesterday. It was so beautiful. There is a canal with a dirt/gravel road that goes on for miles and miles. I decided to walk it for awhile. There were all these mallard ducks and baby ducklings, so cute! Of course, all the dogs had to bark at me because they are couped up in their backyards that abut the canal. And, my $130 Asics Gel shoes, which are a mesh white are now filthy! Oh well, the price we pay! Anyway, I did make it to the gym today. Here is what I did. Cardio: Treadmill 35 minutes (5 min @ 3.0 mph 0%, 30 min @ 4.5 mph @ 2.5%) Weights SB Table Top 3 x 60 sec Machine Back Extension 3 x 10 SB Wall Squat 3 x 8 Machine Leg Curls 2 x 10 Machine Leg Extension 2 x 10 Stability Ball Single Leg DB Shoulder Press 2 x 10 Machine Calf Raise 2 x 15 What did you do to move your body today? Lori 384/242.5 (yes I gained a pound this week, aarrrgh!!)

Cardio: 20 minutes on the cycle for a total of 5.40 miles. Machines: Leg extension, 12 x 60 lbs, 10 x 60 lbs Seated leg curl, 12 x 60 lbs, 10 x 60 lbs Leg abduction, 2 x 12 x 120 lbs Leg adduction, 2 x 12 x 120 lbs Prone leg curl, 2 x 12 x 50 lbs Leg press, 2 x 12 x 50 lbs Gluteal isolator, 2 x 12 x 40 per leg Stability ball: Pelvis side-to-sides, 100 each direction (200 total) Pelvis front-to-backs, 100 each direction (200 total) Foot raises, 100 per each leg (200 total) Wall squats, 25 for a count of 5, 2 for a count of 25 Lunchtime: 3 laps around the far reaches of the parking lot (600 steps approx per lap) - takes about 20 minutes Kathy 276/244/166.5/160 (consult/preop/current/goal)

Yuppers! I love how it looks in writing. My morning workout is really only about 45 minutes but in print...it looks a bit impressive/daunting. I'll never tell... Thanks, as always, for the encouragement. Kathy

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining, I normally lurk but decided it was time to join in. I am usually over at the LapBand board but there seams to be a lot of action over here as well. Today is my day for 2 workouts so here it goes: AM Cardio on stationary bike for 20 minutes and light weight training PM Cardio on treadmill for 35 minutes 45 minutes of weight training with PT I will be hurting tomorrow. Thanks for the welcome Kathy, I will become more active on this board. I love to workout. I've always gone to the gym but just couldn't get those eating habits together so the band has really helped me out. Thanks again and I will be seeing you around! NB

Thanks Lori, for faithfully calling us to get moving! Worked out in water 1 hr. 1/2 hr water walking/running and 1/2 deep water aerobics working in the garden for 2 hrs. this am. ...then relaxed 10 minutes in the best hot tub in Md. Mary
