Gym Is Open (Tuesday)
I did not make it to the gym this morning...slept through it...guess I'm going to have to make sure I get in a walk tonight after work. I'm much better at getting my exercise over with early in the morning...but, too bad, I chose sleep today, so I must walk tonight! Also, I feel a bit down in the dumps...need my endorphine fix!
What did you do to move your body today?

Signing up for walkathons/races has been the incentive I needed to get my butt movin! Saturday-8 mile walk, Sunday-rest, Monday-2 mile brisk walk (actually jogged a little bit), tonight-4 mile brisk walk (maybe even more jogging!). I know I will do the 4 mile walk because I plan on walking to a meeting that is 2 miles away and I'll have no choice but to do it.

Hi Lori,
I found that the team race is the one that is really giving me the incentive I needed. I didn't want to jeopardize the team just because I hadn't trained for it. I hate disappointing others so this is really what I had to do. I was pretty good about exercise until 2 things happened: work got really busy (tax season) and hubby had surgery with complications. So for about 2 months I did little or no exercise. I found if very difficult to get back with the program. So, when challenged by some members of my support group, I made a decision to do it. It was a quick decision...before I had time to talk myself out of it.
I still have to force myself out my front door but once I've gone about 1/2 mile, I'm really into it.
Thanks for posting your exercise post every day, it helps keeps this in our heads.

I did not make it to the gym this morning either. I didn't sleep through it but I didn't sleep well last night... saw the clock at midnight then again at 1 am. All the rumblings in my plumbing were keeping me from sleeping so when the alarm went off at 4:45...I reset it an hour and rolled back over. Tomorrow is another day.
Lunchtime: 3 laps around the far reaches of the parking lot
Evening: 2 mile walk (38 minutes)
