One year ago today...holy cow, seems like yesterday. What a journey, and although its been rough, seeing how I have evolved during these past 12 months is amazing! I truly think that WLS was the best decision of my life. Things have been rough at times, not where I though I would be, but ya know what, I am the healthiest weight that I have ever been and I look DAYUM good, if I may say so myself.
I am a better mommy, we run, we jump, we play. My 6 yr old sees his mom drink protein drinks, and loves to exercise with me. I have inspired my mother to take control of her health, and I look DAYUM good.
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that today at 180 I am 80 pounds lighter than my highest weight of 260, my BMI is 29.1 as opposed to 44. I am the proud owner of a size 7/8 denim skirt as opposed to an 18/20...and did I mention I look dayum good.
To all of obesity help, but especially my Maysters...thank you from the bottom of my heart. I dont attend support groups as often as I would like to, but i can always come here for answers, virtual hugs and support, and just a good time.
I also saw my nut today, and we tweaked things a little, at this point out she would like to see me at 1100-1300 cal per day, I had been shooting for 1000, which could explain my stall. She is thrilled with my protein intake, 90-100 g per day, but she would like to see me cut down on the fat...and more weight training...all I do is cardio.
I will attach a photo taken today, and my surgiversary gift is a trip to AC with my girls, we have a room at the Borgata, dinner reservations at the Tropicana, and massages at Ceasars.
I love my life
Aliya...lookin and feeling dayum good!

Hi Aliya, It has been a delight to read your frequent posts and ' walk ' alongside of you in this years journey. You look truly lovely and your happiness shines in your face. Those 80 lbs. have made a HUGE difference.
Your little guy is so cute... and seeing those pic's of him dying his Easter eggs are so sweet. When we were morbidly obese even little things like that or romping around the yard were just soooo exhausting. And sadly sometimes left undone. Now you are more present than ever to him and if he could type HIS story as he has watched his Mommy slim down and come back to life I am certain every eye would be wet amoungst us as we celebrate your surgery anniversary and how richly HE recieves the PRIZE !
Congratulations ! ;)
