~~HAPPY SURGIVERSARY, MAYSTERS~~
Today is May first so we are all in our surgiversary month. Some folks at the beginning of the month, some in the middle and some at the end.
One fact, we'll all come so very far in one year.
My suggestions for your Surgiversary:
1. Take pictures and be sure to put them side by side with your before pictures. Sit and look at them honestly and see just how far you've come. Sometimes it is so very hard to see it in the mirror still even at a year post-op.
2. Take measurements. Hopefully all of you took them before surgery. Take a look at how many less inches there are of you.
3. Try on your old clothing. If you kept any clothing from where you started from. Try it on. Rich and I each kept a pair of pants.
4. Be sure to sit down and think about all the things that you were unable to do a year ago and all the things that you can this year. Write a list.
5. Think about how active you are now compared to a year ago.
6. Be sure to celebrate your accomplishments. Make a special event, a special day, a special week, a special trip, a special treat, etc. Do somethings to celebrate.
