Food Porn

Anyone watch it? You know... The Food Network, the cooking shows on PBS, etc. Yup, food "porn". Do we watch it? Oh, you betcha. We watch it a fair bit especially on weekends. Rich has really gotten into cooking since his WLS. Why? Because he CAN! Before his WLS, he couldn't stand for 5 minutes let alone stand in the kitchen and cook for an hour or two like he does now. It's funny, we watch all the cooking shows and it doesn't seem to faze us at all. We look to see if there is a way to alter the recipe to make it suit the WLS lifestyle. Obviously the sweets are out of the question but the rest of it... we look to see if it is something we'd like and something worth adapting. I don't think we eat one more bite of food watching this stuff then we would if we didn't. Maybe we even eat better because we get some neat variety into our diet and we are cautious of what is appropriate for post-ops versus not appropriate. Kathy
