Gross, I know... sorry
Becky,
Im with ya on this one. Its either so god awful runny and nasty or the "footlongs" that come out in one fail swoop. I had this problem quite often pre op but I always thought it was because I ate so much food. I use to be so scared of going anywhere other than my own house. When we went to Florida to stay with my husbands family, Id always make him take me to the Mcdonalds up the street when I had to go. I thought once I had surgery Id never have this problem again but yes I do. I use to go everyday pre op, but now I dont. Its usually every other day but I dont let it go beyond 2 without doing something for it or Id need something to blast the podie!

Thanks for the kind words of inspiration!!!
Actually I have met my hubby's youngest brother, he lived with us for 6 years, I love him to death!! He is the little brother I never got to have. I have also met his mom, she went up to Alaska to visit us last year before we moved. So I have met those 2, I am going to Mexico next year to meet the rest of his family there. He also has an Uncle here where we live now and I love him to death too I can't wait to meet them all! If they are anything like his Mom and brother I will love them all ;)
Where does your hubby's family live?
Steph
I never clog the toity and I go fairly regularly (usually at least once/day, sometimes more, sometimes once every other day) so I don't have much time to "build up". I do not take (and haven't taken) any fiber supplements. Pre-op I would go 6-10 times/day. I had my gall bladder out in 1993 and had diarrhea since then. I mean like "Get me to the bathroom right this second or I'm going to be embarassed..." kind of diarrhea. And yes, there were a few times that I didn't quite make it to the bathroom. I would rarely eat out anywhere unless I knew for a fact that there would be a bathroom nearby for the next hour after I ate. I would have to go usually within 30 minutes of eating and it didn't matter if I ate a nice salad, a greasy burger, or a lean grilled chicken breast.
Now, actually, I've been more regular! I usually don't have the run to the bathroom emergencies - sometimes if I have too much milk or my protein bars sometimes do it - but that is actually one irritation that I've lost since surgery!
