Mental Talks
Ya know, Kathy's post below got me to really thinking about some of the mental talks that I have with myself and I thought I'd put them out here so that all of you can see what a nutjob I am.
I feel guilty most of the time if I eat strictly a fruit or a vegetable (like an apple, banana, carrots, peppers, etc.) because they don't have protein in them. I feel like I should eat NOTHING that doesn't have at least some protein in it.
I don't like that my protein shake has about 300 calories in it because I don't want to 'spend' my calories on them, but I'm okay with 'spending' 150 calories on one piece of sf candy or 2 sf cookies. I'm also okay with 'spending' 300 calories (or more) on chips or such. It's also okay that I can get only 28 grams of protein in 4 string cheese that is also 280 calories.
What kind of mental talks do you have with yourself that you'd like to share?
