OT-bummer, car broken into at 24HourFitness
Well, that sucks!
I know what a hassle that is and all for nothing.
I had someone rummage through my van years ago. They didn't break a window so I wonder if I left the thing unlocked which is unlike the NYer in me. They stole CDs. I'm sure much to their surprise they were mostly Andrea Boticelli (sp?) CDs - opera. I assume it was teens. I'm sure they loved opening my glove compartment to find feminine hygiene products.
I'm sorry, Eileen!
big hug,
Kathy
I feel for ya Eileen, back in the summer someone in our subdivision (a fairly new one, only 5 yrs old) almost succeeded in busting out the window on my husbands vehicle. It was shattered and appeared they tried to use a crow bar of some sort to pry it out. They must have gotten spooked before becoming successful. We didnt have anything in the car anyways. Cost us a lot of time and money. We had to keep it in the garage until we could get up enough money to get a new window. Anyways hope you get past this like water on a ducks back.

Thanks for the crying-shoulder, everyone!
I have 100% glass coverage, so not (overt) cost to me. Once most of the broken glass fell down through the door, the lock and door started working again. The glass company will repair tomorrow morning at my house, so I don't even have to go sit in a grimy waiting room.
This one is *much* easier than the house break-in, where I lost my wedding ring, my mothers's wedding ring, digital camera, and my peace of mind.
I *don't* live in a nasty part of town, there's just a lot of junkies around these days.
On the bright side: I'm going hiking in southern Utah this weekend. I'll try to get some new photos.
