11 months out

Yesterday marked my 11 month anniversary!!! I can not believe the changes in only that short time frame. Look at this: April 2005 - was denied surgery, appealed and won the appeal May 19, 05 - had open rny surgery (sick in hospital July 05, Nov. 05, December 05, and January 06) Hit surgeon's goal for me of 140 lbs January 19, 2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! January - March 06 - just bounced back and forth between 135 - 139ish. April 10, 2006 hernia repair and abdominal plasty April 19, 2006 weiging in at 130 today!!! My personal goal!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a grand total weight loss of 136 pounds in 11 short months!!!!!!! Plus no more sleep apnea, no more knee pain, no more foot pain, no more borderline diabetic. And I've gained - my FREEDOM, my mobility, my joy, my confidence, my self worth, and a whole lot more. What a miraculous thing this surgery has been in my life!!!!! Hugs, Laurie
