Home from surgery

Hey Maysters, I'm home from the hospital. My surgery went fine. Hernia was repaired. Actually he repaired the entire abdominal muscle!!! Believe me it's TIGHT!!!! I can't stand up straight! Came home with only one drain (yeah) and one internal pain thing. I have 250 stitches and 60 internal staples. I look like they did an autopsy on me. But everything is healing well so far. The lortab is doing GREAT for the pain, but really bad for the eatting. I can't tolerate anything remotely sweet (especially protein drinks). UGH!!! But the doctor said as long as I'm drinking it's OK for a few days. My mom brought me over a large gallon sized thing of decaf. ice tea. I've been working on that quite a bit today. Here's a hint for when you have a tt.... don't go around ANYONE who might make you laugh!!!! Trust me, you'll laugh until you cry. OUCH, does that hurt. I'm off duty all this week. DH is guarding me pretty tight. He's not letting me do anything. He took the kids to church so I'm sneaking back on the computer. I'll update you all next week, when I'm off of these strick restrictions and he's gone back to work. Everyone have a blessed Easter!!!!!! Hugs, Laurie
