Citrical Creamy Bites
I found a chewable calcium citrate at Walmart the other day. They're Citracal Creamy Bites, they come in chocoloate, lemon or carmel, about the size of a small piece of fudge. They are 500mg of calcium citrate + Vit D. They're about $8 for a box of 30 and have 35 calories a piece, 1.5g of fat, 5 carbs and 5g of sugar. In fact, I just looked at the package, 1st ingredient is sugar... crap... Hope I don't dump...
Obviously, they're not the best, calorie/fat/carb wise but they're not terrible, and they TASTE wonderful. I got the caramel and it tastes like butterscotch fudge. It's like eating a really rich treat.
Probably won't use these EVERY day but they're a nice switch from the Twinlabs. Or, I may just switch to the 'horsepills' and use these on occasion for something different.
Just thought I'd share....
We tried a box of the caramel. Taking 3-4 of those puppies a day adds 105-140 cals plus 15-20 grams of carbs/sugars. A bit "rich" for my taste.
But still... they tasted good. I've heard that Sam's Club has them in bigger boxes for better prices. We do not belong to Sam's Club so what do I know. LOL!
I'm doing the Citracal D Petites. Two tablets are 400 mg so I take 2 tablets 4 times a day for 1600 mg. They are a somewhat smaller version of the regular horsepills.
