I'm at a standstill!
Is anyone else having trouble losing? I lost only 5 lbs in Jan, 2.5 lbs in Feb and have gained a couple of lbs in Mar!!!!! I don't understand. My GYN did put me on hormone replacement therapy 6 weeks ago which I'm sure is a factor...damned menopause! I noticed that sometimes I get really hungry! I'm very bummed out about it

Hi Sue,
I am at a standstill right now, too. But, I know it's because I haven't been focusing on the weight loss lately. I've been choosing to not pay as much attention to how much I'm eating, and I can always get in a little more exercise.
I think this is where we begin the true test of how we will do long term. I'm frustrated, but I had to get to a point to where I wanted to do something about it. I finally hit that point and have an appointment with a nutritionist tomorrow (our surgeon doesn't believe in them). I'm hoping that she can help me develop a plan that I will be happy with and my body will be happy with.
Anyway, I understand what you are going through, and I think it's going to be a slow road from here on out. We just have to keep believing in the tool we have and making sure we do everything to allow it to work effectively. Easier said than done some days!

Sue,
It's been 2.5 lbs a month for the past two months and looks like little to nothing this month but we'll see what Monday brings. Be nice if it was a pound, eh?
It is painfully slow but it is moving in the right direction. It is a bit frustrating. I'm sooo very close to goal that I can taste it. Just seems it is going to be several months at this rate to get there.
There are some changes I can make. Skip the sugar alcohols is the biggie. Doubt those help me out, ya know?
Hormones will definitely effect you! I'm sure that is messing with your weight and hunger level. Sorry you are having to deal with that.
Good luck!
Hugs, Kathy
Bless your heart, Sue. I just posted on my profile how I was feeling frustrated and a bit depressed because I haven't lost any weight in several weeks. Of course I'm not exercising, drinking, and eating enough either, which makes me feel guilty and even more depressed. A vicious cycle I guess. Anyway, I appreciate your post and everyone's responses. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Sue'
I'm right there with you. I lost 2 1/2 lb.s in Nov., 4 lb.ls in dec., 2 1/2 in Jan. and 2 lb.s in Feb.. It is slow and frustrating but at least the scale is still moving down. I doubt that I will ever see my goal. But even if I didn't lose another pound, look at how far we've come. For myself, I know I could never have lost 80 lb.s without the surg. and I am thankful.
Sue,
I can definately relate. In the past 3 months Ive lost about 5 pounds total and nothing this month. I only have 5 pounds to goal and fear I wont even get there by my one year anniversary. The bad thing is Im still drinking, exercising, and eating like I should. To be honest Im very happy with my entire body except my legs. Too bad we cant choose we want to lose the last few pounds.
