Spring is here...
Our 70-80 degree weather is going to go buh-bye for a while but still it is amazing what a few days of higher temps can do to nature let alone one's spirit. (That and very good news on a certain sister's pathology report too, of course.)
The daffodils and croci are up and blooming. Overnight it seems, the weeping willows one of the first things to bloom have green on their hanging branches. The forsythia are blooming with their bright yellow flowers. Bradford pear trees just like that are displaying their lovely white flowers and some of the cherry trees are showing their pinkness. Ah, spring is in the air.
It felt wonderful on the weekend to walk around feeling coolness in the air yet the warmth of the sun. No jackets or sweaters. I was sleeveless in fact (flappage and all...).
Now our temps will drop into the 30s overnight but that's okay. Spring is definitely coming...
Kathy
I definately know what you mean Kathy, this past week and weekend was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it. Spring brings back memories of sitting with my great grandmother on her front porch in the swing as a child. I can remember countless stories told to me by her in that swing. We would sit for hours it seems like. We even fell in it together one time. She is still alive but 92yrs old now and suffers with all timers( I cant spell the correct word). Anyways I love the warmer temps and springtime blooms, it was almost a tease with the windy cooler weather yesterday and today.
