Questions for my Maysters
I'll start
I can eat about 4-6 oz comfortably
And I only wait about 15-20 min, anything before that and it hurts.
A bad habit I had was testing by tasting...not smart and also eating too quickly. good habits are actualling being aware of what I put into my mouth. Although I don't do it all the time, there are times when I say:It's not worth it, and bypass. This is the longest amount of time that I have actually paid attenetion to nutrtitional content. I really thing, its something I'll stick with for life.

I'm still a few weeks from 10 months but...
I can eat two hard boiled eggs at one sitting. I can eat a good cup or so of chili. Probably 3 oz of ham and 2 oz of cheese. I can eat the whole chicken breast off a Chick-Fil-A sandwich (I toss the bun). It seems to vary.
Bad habits: 1) I do drink up to, sometimes during and after meals. I honestly don't feel like I eat more because of it. 2) I have a can of Diet 7 Up now and then - not every day and not in place of my water. Usually towards the end of the day when I'm well hydrated by regular water. 3) I have one mug of regular coffee everyday. It warms me. It helps keep me "regular".
Good habits: 1) Protein! I get 100 grams a day from my shakes alone. 2) Vitamins! I'm good at getting them in. Got a good routine! 3) Exercise! I'm good at that though I'm off this week due to my surgery.
Regrets: Not really a regret but wish I had been exercising more regularly earlier on.

I got a ways before 10 months but here goes anyway.
I can't each much at one setting. 1/2 cup soup and some salad. I've never been able to eat a whole cup. a piece of deli meat and 1 oz of cheese makes my lunch. (I am planning on splurging tonight and enjoying some popcorn)
I basically wait the 30 minutes for eating/drinking - but only because I'm eatting and drinking on a schedule. It's pathetic. Here's todays.
7am - protein drink
8 am - oatmeal pancake
9 am - water
10 am - whole wheat english muffin w/ sf jelly
11am - water
noon - turkey breast and cheese
1pm - water
2 pm - protein drink
3 pm - supposed to be a snack but I feel asleep and missed it
4pm - water
5:30pm - chicken and sf corn bread
6:30 pm - water
7:30 pm - protein drink (I had it early tonight cuz I'm cold)
8:30pm - will be popcorn.
And I'm still short on calories for the day! UGH!!
I'm supposed to get in about 1300 calories per day. I probably average about 1100.
I ALWAYS get in my protein. Today's total is 128 grams of protein. I do 3 drinks per day.
Bad habits - not really. Perhaps only drinking 10 oz instead of a full 20 oz would be considered my bad habit. I REALLY hope that with warm weather will come THIRST again for me.
Good habits - exercising faithfully. Drop the kids off and head to the gym!! That's the routine.
Regrets - hhhhhmmmmm, depends on how my day is going. Overall, no regrets. I do struggle with my emotions when I'm not feeling well. When I'm curled in a ball in my recliner in agony, then lots of negative thoughts go through my head... but on a good day I'm thrilled with it all!!!

down 125 pounds
Not quite at 10 months but...
I can't seem to eat early in the morning so everyday I have a protein shake for breakfast. I can about 4 oz of meat and some vegetables for other meals. I still do not use a regular size plate for fear that I will fill it and overeat. I usually don't count calories, but did recently for one week, just to check on myself. I get 800-1100 calories a day and 90 - 130 grams of protein a day. I take vitamins and calcium everyday.
Just saw my doctor, he said bloodwork was perfect! Nice low cholesterol too!
I still never feel hunger other than what's in my head.
Bad habits:
I drink right before, few little sips during, and 10-15 minutes after meals. I don't think that I eat more because of it, however, I hope I am getting the most nutrition from what I eat - not washing it through.
Good habits:
I have not touched any candy,or cake (anything with sugar) or soda since surgery.
Regrets: I need more exercise.
A few more days before my 10 month anniversary. I can eat a good cup or cup and a half of just about anything. Protein does fill me up faster and is usually about 3 oz with some vegetables. I am good for the most part about drinking- 15 min before and 30 minutes after but not perfect. A bad habit is getting into the "I gotta have something sweet after every meal" thing. I try to have one sweet thing a day which is better than I was pre op. A good habit is I have take the liking to sweet potatoes since surgery and have cut red meat out except once a week. I have also begin to eat baked fish now, something that was unheard of pre op. I dont have any regrets except my legs. No matter what I do I cant get them to go down. I do leg exercises and cardio like a fiend but they wont budge. I am happy with me all over except these darn legs.

Happy 10 Month Surgeversary!!!
I can take in between 5-10oz, depending what it is, time of day, etc. The denser it is, the less I can take in.
Good habits - I eat well, rarely delve into snacky carbs like chips, crackers, etc. Very rarely. I can't recall the last time I had soda, and of course, I haven't had more than 5 g of sugar at one sitting more than twice in the last 9.5 months... I consume approximately 1200 calories, pretty much 40/30/30 (prot/carbs/fats) which is what my Nut wants me to aim for, usually 100+ protein grams a day.
Bad habits - I've been eating a lot more lately, snacking a lot, but good snacks, like grapes, green peppers, carrots. I feel like I'm eating sometimes when I don't need to, which kind of bugs me... I've also taken to making a sf mini hershey's a regular part of my day... when this bag at work goes, I'm not buying anymore...
As far as drinking with meals, on a very rare occasion, I drink with meal, I almost ALWAY wait 30-45 minutes after meal but typically drink right up to my meal. Not ideal, but not bad...
I'm pretty much at a regular cycle of maintaining most of the time, losing 3-5 pounds a month, right before my period.

I seem to be able to tolerate different amounts at different times. I can eat 3/4 cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup SF jello but then one sting cheese fills me up. It seems that now I can eat enough of a portion that people don't notice that I'm not eating "enough." Suppose I am just eating more like a normal person.
I drink right up until my meal and then wait 30 min after. I have taken sips here and there during but not any serious water consumption. I can drink 20 oz of water with no trouble whatsoever
Me bad habits.....none at all
. I tend to eat to many bars out of pure convience. I didn't cook before and I don't like to cook any more now. I wish I didn't like to drink any alcohol but I just gotta have my Mic Ultra Light with Football games and Nascar.
Good habits....my exercise regimen. I just really love it now and feel horrible on the days I can't make it to the gym. And if I don't walk with my dog I am really upset with myself. I once got out of bed a 10 pm and took him because I just couldn't sleep. And also that I didn't restart smoking after surgery
Regrets....none that I can really think of. Except of course letting my weight and lifestyle get so out of control that I even needed this surgery. I sure do hope that I can give my 7 yo daughter a good healthy body image and eating plan so she never needs to go down this path
