It still works!
Thats how I felt after dinner friday with a friend. I'm sure that most of us an eat more now, and I don't know about you, but sometimes it frightens me. I try not to worry about, and as long as I'mmaking healthy choices, I'll eat till I get full! Anyway we went to Longhorne Steak House. Ordered 3 appetizers:chili cheese fries, buffalo wings, and spicy shrimp. Well I ate 1 wings, and about 4 fries, and couldn't eat another thing. The waitress asked if we wanted to pack up to go, and we said no. I noticed that my friend tried to pace herself so, as not to look like she was eating alot, when in reality, she's not, its just more than me. Anyway to make a long story short, we didn't even finish 1/2 of the food and threw it all away. This is a milestone for me, because I can never waste food! Even post op, I would bring a meal home, and eat it for 3 days, but becuase the choices weren't spectacular, I didn't want temptation. My pouch is weird though, somedays I can eat 6 ounces, others I am full just after 2 sips of water.Things that make you go hmmm.
It is funny what our pouch will like and not like and it also seems somedays somethings are okay and other days they are not!
I work every Fri and Sat night from 7pm to 7 am and we order out both nights. I now look at the menu and usually say no unless some appetizer catches my eye! Not only a saving of calories but a savings of money also! I use to spend so much money on food. It is amazing to me!
I also find that eating in front of other people keeps me in a little better check than eating by myself!
