Drum roll please...

While I annotated my weight today as 170...there was a brief flicked of 169.5 on the scale if I leaned the right away so here I am at the doorstep of the 160s. Last time I was there was 1983 maybe. I was in the 160s for a few days, before going back up to 170s where I hovered a while before regaining weight yet again. Anyway so being at this weight is a pretty big deal for me. Beyond my weight 23 years...I know that I weighed 156 at some point in 8th grade so I assume that I was probably in the 160s easily later that same grade. I'd have to estimate that I was already into the 170s in 9th grade (HS). That all being said... if I lose 3.5 more lbs... I'll weigh less than my lowest weight as an adult and what I weighed in 8-9th grade. That would make me 13-14 years old. Wow, OMG...never thought of it that way. I'll weight my lowest in 32 years. (Of course, that is probably longer than some of you have walked the face of the earth!) And other drum roll...today I'm wearing jeans that are a "single digit" size. Yup...size 8. They are Tommys and his stuff runs a bit on the bigger size but it still counts! I have NEVER EVER worn a single digit size before except maybe as a child. That's my news for today! Kathy

It could be better. I had a follow-up appointment and my torn ligaments are still not healed. I walked this week for the first time without a limp but I can't walk at a fast pace. I'm keeping up my upper body, stomach and thigh exercises but I do miss my cardio. Thanks for askin'!

How are you doing on your protein intake? Just food or shakes? The reason I ask is that protein intake seems to help with healing. One of the gals I know had plastics and she upped her protein intake quite a bit prior to surgery and immediately following. She healed really well and the surgeon was intrigued by her results. He now has all his patients take protein shakes prior/after surgery to assist with healing. Anyway, the healing issue popped into my head as a thought. Sorry that you aren't healed up get. Sounds like you are doing as much as you can exercise-wise. That's great. I'm sure many would have abandoned it. Shows you are really focused and a trooper, for sure! Kathy

Thanks for the heads up on protein and healing. I get all if not most of my protein from foods but usually try to get in a shake a day for extra. I think it's a little better every day.

Hey, Seven! I'll wait for ya - you take what time you need. I honestly believe that you can continue to work the tool for years and it'll continue to work for you. It things go slow or aren't moving...drop back to the basics at anytime. Kathy
