Surgery date set

Friday February 24th at 9:00 am. I have to stay overnight. Drat. I asked the surgeon to use the same anesthesia as my gallbladder surgery since that was so easy on me compared to the effects after my back surgery and WLS surgery. He told me "dear, they were all the same form." The difference? The amount of fat I had. Fat stores the anesthesia. Took me 3 days to shake off the anesthesia when I was big. My gallbladder surgery it took 45 minutes. Wow. Kathy

Wait- what surgery is this?

I'm having one of my parathyroid glands removed and maybe a nodule on my thyroid. Neither WLS related. I've have parathyroid (calcium) issues for at least 2.5 years. Doctors just "watched it". Finally found a good doctor that would get 'er fixed. I'm excited. I don't want to lose any more bone mass. Kathy
