At least that is how I like to see myself but what in the heck was I thinking about going to a Salsa aerobic class knowing that running (pounding) on the treadmill and any twisting actions (Cybex or abs machine) made my back hurt! Sigh, I just have to wonder about myself. I lasted 30 minutes and the pain got the best of me. Very fun class. So I cried when I got into the car. Call Rich. Vented for 2 minutes. Then gathered myself together and headed home. One day I'll learn... Looks like I just need to follow Dr. Jen's orders and stick with stretching and strengthening exercises and see what my body will allow much farther down the road... Kathy

Dr Jen here...Do I have to bind your legs together to stop you from trying to kill yourself??? Try this...get a stability/exercise ball from Walmart or the like. You know those big big blow up balls. Put your favorite show on TV or replace your computer chair and bounce bounce bounce. It will give your legs and abs an awesome workout without the stress to your back. I read an article about a girl *****placed her office chair with the stability ball and dropped a pant size and improved her abs, of course it was in Shape magazine and she looked great already. That consult is free...if you contine to try these crazy exercise classes I will charge you for further advice!!!!!!

We have a stability ball. I will use it! I think I saw that article on the stability ball at work at the doctor's office or something. Tomorrow I'm going to the gym but it's weights day (upper body only). So I'll warm up on the recumbant or regular bike (both seem okay to me) for about 5-10 minutes and then do my exercises. Wednesday, I'll probably warm up and do some stability and abs work. This is my new routine! I promise... Kathy
