Gym is open (Wednesday)

Good Wednesday everybody! I walked 6 miles today. I also worked my hams and glutes. lying leg curls flutter kicks hip extensions hip abductions bridging Now I am going to go lay in a hot bath until the water goes cold. Then I will refill it with ho****er and soak some more! What did you do to work your muscles today? Seven

The Cybex Monster is: Cybex Total Body Arc Trainer (gym also has Cybex Arc Trainer - which is the one I used today - didn't know the difference til I looked it up tonight.) http://www.cybexintl.com/products/CV/C610A/c610a.aspx I did 20 minutes at level 1 set on the "Weight Loss" setting. Then played with it a minute here and a minute there on other settings before settling on 10 minutes at level 2 set on the "Interval" setting which varies the intensity throughout the workout. This thing is interesting. Level 0-1 is x-country skiing, Level 2-3 is elliptical....up to Level 9-10 is climbing. I guess how it adjusts the leg things varies by setting. I did try 1 minute at level 9 while I was playing. Doesn't seem to have aggravated my leg (back actually) at all. We'll see how it goes. Tomorrow, warm-up and then upper body weights and abs. Sunday, I'm going to go to try their Salsa exercise class. Chatted with one lady today who says it is a ton of fun. Kathy

When you called it a 'monster' I thought you meant it was a monster of a workout. I didn't realize it looked like one too! I watched the video demonstration and holy cow! That is one EVIL looking workout! Seven

It actually felt pretty darned good! ;) I'll try the Total Body one on Friday to see what that is like. Tomorrow is simply an upper body and abs day. Kathy

Seven, 6 miles is so great! Good for you. On Wednesday, I did 15 minutes treadmill and 15 minutes stationary bike. Then my upper body workout. Lori

Six miles! Geez, you go girl! Anyway, 50 cardio dance class followed by upper body weights and ab work.

Wednesday I did 1 hour of H20 aerobics. Thursday I did 20 minutes elliptical & 20 minutes recumbent bike. Friday AM will be a 1 mile swim (40 minutes) Saturday will be snow skiing all day Sunday will be yoga Eileen (gotta break this silly plateau)
