OT - Laser Hair Removal
This did well on the main message board last night so I wanted to share it here. I was suprised how many people didn't know that it is not uncommon to have dark hair on your face that needs to be tended too...eithr shaving, plucking waxing etc...
Just went today and had 2 consulatations one at Sona Medspa and one at Ideal Image. Both with offices across the nation. I made my choice and am starting treatment on my upper lip and chin in 2 weeks.
It was quite amazing going into these places and being treated like a "normal" person. I feel like about 9 months ago they would have told me my hair growth was related to my obesity. Today they don't even know I was obese.
Just wondering if anyone else has had laser hair removal done and what have the results been?
Thanks Jen

The cost was $828 for the lip and chin. 5-8 treatments over a year with 4 free in the 2nd year and then a unlimited lifetime warrany for that area with a $40 to $60 charge. I was happy with it. I was able to pay 50/50. 1st treatment and 3rd treatment. That was at Ideal Image.
Oh yeah...I almost forgot!! A $200 VIP coupon...LOL. But it brought it to two $314 payments. Not bad!
Lots of other people posted about their costs at different places on the main post. It is about page 2 if you scroll back. It has loots of good info from others.
Jen,
I've done a combo of electrolysis and laser hair removal on face, pits and legs. The hair on my face is mostly light so laser wasn't the best option though I think lasers might be better about that now. Lasers worked on pigmentation of hair so light ones wouldn't be zapped.
I need to get more treatments to "finalize" it. Get a few stragglers on my lower legs (did electrolysis mainly there) and boy are they weak. Very little hair growth in the pits. I do need more on my lip and under lower lip. My chin hairs - the coarse dark ones are gone. Just lots of fine blonde ones.
I worked with a gal that did this work for years. I was a lifetime project.
