. Actually, I picked it up and saw two carbs and thought, "Great, this will really up my protein intake for the day. After I ate it, I saw that actually, it read two NET IMPACT carbs (gosh if that isn't a bunch of hooey)!
Dietary Fiber - 1g
Sugars - 1g
Sugar Alcohols - 27g
OK Kathy, let me have it......Goodness knows I need a kick in the arse for that choice!

Technically 2 grams of net carbs isn't a bad choice. But WOW, 27 grams of sugar alcohols is alot!!! No wonder you dumped.
As a substitute, you might want to try Power Crunch bars. They have 15 grams of whey protein and are sweetened with splenda. Don't think there is any sugar alcohols. Much safer!
I have found in the past (pre WLS) that I don't seem to lose as well if I have things that have sugar alcohols so I have tended to avoid protein bars in general. We have some of the Power Crunch bars at home but I rarely use them. I prefer my shakes.
