Might have lost the battle, but I didn't lose the war...
First of all, I want to thank everyone for your encouraging words. It meant a lot to me.
Unfortunately, it didn't go too well. I went all day until about 4pm and then finally snapped. I literally lost like 45 minutes at work today. I mean, LOST them... As in, one minute I was reading some email about 45 minutes before a conference call and the next minute my conference call rang in. No idea where I was for that time...
My DH is still smoking, which makes it hard, but no excuses, really. I just am having a harder time this time. I guess my motivation isn't there like it was before.
I'm not giving up though, tomorrow I'm going to go buy the patch and double-whammy it with Zyban and nicotine replacement - we'll see how that works...
I'm off to class, but I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate each and every one of you!

Becky,
Each moment presents itself with an opportunity to continue from here on out. You don't have to quit on a Monday or at the beginning of a day or a week or a month. Just do your best. If today it is a couple of cigarettes, that's probably far less then you smoked yesterday. Improvements can be made cold turkey or gradually but in the end... you get there.
Don't be hard on yourself! Okay?
You can and will do this!

It's gonna be pretty hard to give up on yourself with all of us refusing to give up on you. Three steps forward ...two steps back.
One day at a time gal, sometimes one minute at a time. You will make it.
Tomorrow's is a new day and a fresh new beginning.
Aren't you glad we are given grace for re-do's ??? If it weren't for 're-do's ' none of us would be here.
Bless ya, we are praying and pulling for ya.
Mary
Don't give up! You can do this. Get the patch and put it on tonight so you don't wake up with the bad craving.
Is DH smoking outside? Ask him not to smoke around you for awhile. My DH still smokes. I asked him to pretend he was a nonsmoker around me. I didn't even want to see his cigs or lighter! It really made a difference.
Good luck.
