I quit last year before my surgery - only way my surgeon would operate. It wasn't as bad as I feared it would be - although the weekend before surgery I was going to a casino with some friends and broke down and bought a pack on the way - I smoked the whole thing while gambling (I play the penny machines - last of the big time spenders) and felt sicker than a dog all the way home. After that, I didn't even want to smoke - and even now when I'm craving one, I think back to that day and it does the trick.
Whenever you feel like puffing, write us a note and we'll help you through it.

Hi Beacky Sue... I just wanted to wish you well. If you can successfully quit smoking it will be the best gift you could ever give yourself. My father is a smoker and believe me when I say your kids will be SOOOOOOOOO proud of you when you do it. You have the strength to do this!!! Look how far you have come with your surgery....
