Today started out like a normal day. Coffee, Nectar, oatmeal... Went to lunch with my dad, ordered ham and beans. Beans weren't cooked, almost crunchy, so I just picked out pieces of ham. No biggy. An hour and a half later, I started picking through a small chef salad in the fridge. Ate the turkey and ham, some of the lettuce, a slice of cucumber... A half hour after that, I ate 2 SF Reese Mini PB cups. 15 minutes later, I ate an entire snack bag of Cheetos.... I DON'T EVEN LIKE CHEETOS!!!!! I cannot believe I did that. I was on total autopilot. Not only did I eat without thinking about it, and without really being hungry, but I ate crap and too much of it. Now my pouch feels crappy... GRRRR.... What the heck is wrong with me? Gonna go find a boot to put up my own arse...

Yeah, that's it... Actually, I feel her, I've been having horrible periods, too. In fact, I am right now, but my typical routine is to want to eat right before it starts, not during... Yeah, I know, I'm not too stressed, although I can tell you it makes me mad that I did it and I seriously feel like crap. Ernesto, my pouch, didn't like that one bit. I finally put some gum in my mouth in hopes of not eating the cat, the dogs and the phonebook, too....

My nutritionist told me that gum was/is a big NO NO! She told me never to chew gum because if you accidentally swallowed it, it could cause big problems, possibly even have to be surgically removed. Has anyone else been told that?

My doc told us we were allowed to have gum but to be very, very careful. She explained what could happen if we accidentally swallowed it and basically said, "So long as you know..." I've never accidentally swallowed gum before, so I figured it would be a safe activity.

I craved choc. the other day and bought a choc. cheesecake..but had a small piece and it was too rich and made me sick...serves me right. Been very faithful with protein shakes and started faithfully taking my vitamins, iron and calcium, so hopefully I am on the right track. Just want this BLEEDING to slow down...dang!!!

Becky, This stuff happens. Our autopilot can kick in without us realizing it. I know I find myself doing similar things. I'm a whole heckofalot better then I used to be, but, I still struggle! Lori 384/260.5/168
