Havent seen a 1 as my first number in about 20 years. Granted it was 199 but oh well I got my foot in the door right? I literally got on and off the scale like 5 times to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me.
Sorry I haven't posted much or even updated my profile, having a mom with cancer and a dad with Parkinson's I just haven't had the time or the energy. Things have been insanely hectic.
Can anyone tell me why...at 327 I would look in the mirror, KNOW I was fat but think I still looked thinner? Now at 199 I look in the mirror and see 327. People who haven't had this surgery just don't get it when I say that. They are like your face is so skinny blah blah blah how can you not see the huge difference? Well I just don't and I don't know why either. But I am sure out of all you fellow Maysters someone must feel this way too!(this way people telling me I am crazy isn't true lol)
I hope all of you are well and I try to get on and catch up to posts when I can but it isn't always possible. Know my heart is with you all on your journey and I am so very proud of all of you!
love and hugsssssssss

Krista,
Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congradulations:
I am all most there. 207 I can hardly wait until I am in onederland. I also agree with you about still seeing myself as heavy. I don't know what it is but my family and friends think I am crazy. I can't help it. I know in my mind I have lost weight and my clothes are a smaller size but I don't see it. Like you when I was at my heavest I didn't see myself fat. who knows? Sorry about your mom and dad. I know that must be hard. Just know you are in my prayers. Keep up the great work. Have a wonderful day!!

Last week I was 208 and got that dreaded stomach virus that went thru everywhere and one day I noticed i could get into my daughters size 14 jeans and said omg i bet i lost some weight, got on the scale and it was GONE! I have tried forever to get rid of those pounds butnow they are gone. You will be there very soon and I will celebrate with you!
we sound exactly the same with our mindset...when I put on smaller clothes I am convinced they must be marked wrong![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/laugh.gif)
We will get thru it tho! Keep up the good work and I will be praying those 7 pounds off with you!

I SOOOO know what you're talking about still seeing the "fat chick" in the mirror. I myself have lost 99 lbs and gone from a size 26-28 to a size 12-12 so I should be able to see a difference, right??? WRONG!!! I still see the 267 lbs staring me in the face. It's called body dysmorphia and it happens to a lot of WLS patients. You didn't get to be 327 overnight so you have grown use to seeing the "fat chick" in the mirror for a long time. Now, the weight has came off so rapidly that your mind can't catch up. Don't worry, it will eventually catch up. Try really looking at some before and after pictures. That really helps me when I get to feeling rough. Hang in there girl and let me tell you, you look wonderful!

Ya know what the sad thing is?? I look at the before and after pics and all I notice is that my face looks thinner and I now have a neck! lol I never realized that before I had so many chins that I had no neck![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/laugh.gif)
You are dong wonderful yourself and I am very proud of you. I have gone from a 30/32-5X to a 14 jeans and xl top. it still amazes me. Someday my mind will catch up but for now I will just deal with looking in store windows and askin my husband whose legs are reflected there cuz they cant be mine![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Krista,
This is fantastic news! Congratulations!
I see myself as much thinner when I'm in good fitting clothes and am ready for work in the morning. But, when I'm in my gym clothes or naked, I really don't like what I see. The hanging skin is so unattractive. I still have 90+ more lbs to lose, so it is only going to get worse. It can be a real challenge at times!
