FINALLY got my surgery bills...

Yes, it took all these months to get through insurances... I owe the surgeon about $150 but I owe the hospital $900. Ouch! Just what I needed after the wild spending frenzy aka Christmas. But then there are those that self pay so I consider myself pretty darned lucky to only have to pay this (plus a few small sundry extra amounts for what wasn't covered of the anesthesia and stuff). My back surgery and gallbladder werewell covered by both insurances Don't think I got billed for those at all. Kathy

I got my bill last week- 9500 I owe! I expected it, but ouch! We're still working on an appeal, though, so they told me not to pay yet.

I owe around $700 in bills for preop tests that my insurance refuses to cover. But yes compared to others, I feel very blessed to only owe that much. Good luck with the appeals, Candi!

All my bills are done, paid and over! What a good feeling. It was about 1,000 to surgeon and 400 to the hospital. Glad that is behind me.
