I did two laps up and down 6 flights twice at work (240 stairs up and 240 stairs down) and I'm paying dearly for it _ am quite sore. Taking the dog for a walk to the mailbox and back (a building down) shouldn't feel like this - I was fine early today. I just shouldn't hurt this bad. I'm definitely going to discuss this with the endocrinologist on 1/23. This isn't normal. In the past I've been able to go from being totally inactive for far longer stretches than this and do things. I walked the stairs a couple of weeks ago and did fine. Something is not quite right. I'll be a trooper and just deal with it. I doubt it is "hurting" me though it is hurting me if that makes any sense at all. May do some upper body tonight but at least what I've already done is a start. And I just got a call from our new gym...drum roll... they open tomorrow! Rich and I will definitely be there over the weekend to try it out together. Yea! Kathy Kathy

Woohoo!!!! I am so proud of you! I knew you could do it! I am so happy the gym is finally opening. Take it easy though, you don't have to do it all in one day, especially if you aren't feeling 100%. I can't wait to hear what you do tomorrow! Seven

Seven, I know I've been "missing in action" for replying to your gym updates. I haven't missed going to the gym though. I just haven't been able to be on the boards for a few days. So, to catch up: Tuesday, I did 25 minutes on the treadmill at 4.0 miles an hour and 35 minutes upper body weight lifting and training. Wednesday, I did 20 minutes treadmill and 10 minutes stationary bike and 35 minutes lower body lifting and training. Today, Thursday, I did the circuit training jazzercise class again for 65 minutes. Let's keep doing it Maysters! I really believe this will be the key to our long-term success! Thanks Seven for stirring us up and making us think about this! Lori 384/260.5/168

I did 20 min on the stepper and 20 min on the stationary bike. For the past 7 or 8 weeks I was doing the treadmill on the days I didnt go to Curves. But since Ive switched to the stepper this week Ive already lost 3 pounds, go figure. My body was like Whoa! what is she doing to me!!! I think Ill stick to this routine a little while. Candy

Great news! It always seems to help when you throw your body a curve now and then. Keep shaking things up. Seven

I'm such a bad poster, hopefully I'll be better at the exercising. Monday: one hour walking in the pool Tuesday: 1.2 miles on the treadmill, upper body stretches with resistence band Wed: gave the sore muscles the day off Thurs: one mile walk video I've had really bad bursitis in both knees for over a year, and have had to take the exercise slowly. My weight loss was seven pounds this last month, and I'm wanting to lose that much or more this next month. Debra M.

Exercising burns more calories than posting! Keep up the good work and those pounds will come off. Seven
