I did it all for the Dookie, the Dookie...
Okay, digestive discussion here. Going to try to be vague but get my point across. To me, this is a serious issue.
The term "dookie" was brought into my life by Rich. It is a "choice" word. Usually used to describe our dookie factory of a dog that has pooped a record 8 times in a 24 hour period. The dog is 18 next month and has chronic pancreatititis and is on a low fat high fiber dog food that is bulked up with peanut fiber. Boy can this dog crap...I mean dookie.
Since surgery, my own "dookie" has been more on the side of constipation. At times, it has been like thick clay which is far from desirable. Other times it has been more forth coming especially when aided by my morning cup o' joe! Yes, my coffee kicks in. I take two fiber choice tablets a day to aide in this. Now...as to color...due to the iron tablets that I take the shade is usually greenish.
For the past couple of weeks, I've been more gassy - I swear that I could fire a shot across the room. Drat, I said I was going to be serious. I did miss two days of taking my iron and I thought that was the cause of the change of color to a more clay colored (beige) "dookie". But the circumference of it has reduced significantly down to the roundness of a pen or my little finger. And there doesn't seem to be much of it at any one time. And coffee ain't helping. Texture wise much softer but not loose.
Not sure why the change. I have a regularly scheduled appointment with my surgeon scheduled for the 23rd so I'll address it then unless I have some pain or something before then.
Anyone else with "dookie" changes along your journey?
I cannot believe I'm posting this. At least I'm among friends. I think I'll go hide now. No more posts for me!

Dookie changes you say? Yeah - every few days. I alternate between the two that you described - thicker, clay like, light colored, firm - and then the slender, slightly softer, kind. I have no idea what causes the change.
But my real issue is the smell.......I hate to admit this, but it can stink the whole back of the house up! It seems that every few days too - that I am very gassy - and that smell is also beyond belief. Embarrasing! I work in a office with cubicles and don't know what to do! I can't get to the bathroom every time I need to pass some gas!!
Ok - enough of this!!

I'm adding Dookie to my Kathy & Rich dictionery... right under choochie...
on a serious note... why wouldn't our BM's change? Less in, different foods, etc...
I know that pre-wls I would produce very large "dookies" . Now, post-wls, I only go in the morning (after my cuppa) and save it up for 24 hrs because I'd never go at work. My old "dookie" didn't smell like roses, but the new stuff is a cross between toxic waste and velcro.. YUCK
One quick question?... Is there any subject that is taboo with you?... You must be the hit of the ****tail party...

Actually, I understand that the dooks will change what I was trying to get at was that mine was pretty steady for 7 months and has recently taken a dramatic change and I don't know why.
No, there is no subject that is taboo with me. I'm due a discussion of my fruit-rollup breasts one of these days...
Pity you folks don't live closer...Super Bowl party is coming up...
